Coming soon in CM9 alpha2 for Epic Touch

We will update this post often so please check back periodically for updates.  Join our online chat in Freenode channel ICS-DEV-E4GT, and follow us on Google+ or Facebook for the latest news notifications from the Epic Touch CM team!

  • Update 3/30/12: Android 4.0.4 has been merged upstream into CM9. That means that alpha2 shall certainly be Android 4.0.4. We shall be testing vigorously to be sure that 4.0.4 hasn't brought any regressions, and if so, fix them.
  • Update 3/30/12: Video recording has been resolved, thanks to the brilliant guys over at Teamhacksung. As of now, it only includes 420p resolution. Once we obtain kernel sources, we can implement a hack used by GT-I9100, to upscale it to 720p and 1080p.
EDIT: 720p and 1080p now work. Once again, a big thanks to the guys over at Teamhacksung.
  • Update 3/30/12: The issue concerning netflix videos has been identified and fixed by our very own sbrissen. You can be certain that this fix will be introduced in the upcoming alpha2.

  1. Wonderful! Thank you guys. Is there a guess of when this may be ready for the general public or is it too soon to say (or is that never said, I'm a noob)?
